Leave of absence refers to the cessation of study due to illness or other unavoidable reasons while attending school.
Leave of absence

1.General leave of absence
Unenrolled students: Shall apply for a leave of absence before starting the semester (before the start date) without paying tuition.
Enrolled writer: As an enrolled student, apply for a leave of absence before the midterm exam
(However, freshmen and transfer students are not allowed to take a leave of absence in the first semester after admission, except in cases of illness, military service, pregnancy, childbirth, or child-rearing. Students entering the Department of Early Employment Contracts cannot take general leave of absence)

2.Leave of absence for illness
In the event of an illness, apply for a leave of absence by attaching a medical certificate from a general hospital stating that long-term treatment for more than 3 weeks (22 days or more) is required within 10 days of the occurrence of the cause.

3.Leave of absence from military service
Those who enlist in the military (military service members) while on leave of absence or attending school apply for a leave of absence from 30 days before the enlistment (call) date after receiving the enlistment (service) notice.

4.Leave of absence for pregnancy, childbirth and parental leave
Apply for leave of absence by attaching a medical certificate or family relationship certificate

5.Leave of absence for startup
Apply for a leave of absence by attaching a corporate registration certificate or a certified copy of corporate registration (However, except for the type of business under Article 49 ②-5 of the School Regulations Enforcement Regulations)
Leave of absence period

1. The period of general leave of absence cannot exceed 2 semesters at a time and cannot exceed 3 years (6 semesters) in total. However, students enrolled in the Department of Early Employment Contract cannot take a general leave of absence.

2. Leave of absence due to pregnancy, childbirth, child-rearing, business start-up, or illness cannot exceed two semesters, and cannot exceed two years in total (four semesters).

3. Leave of absence due to military service, pregnancy, childbirth, child rearing, starting a business, or illness is not counted as a general leave of absence.

4. If a student whose regular leave of absence is unable to continue his studies due to general circumstances, an additional leave of absence may be granted for up to 4 semesters at the request of the head of the department.
Postponement of leave of absence
If a student on leave of absence wants to continue taking a leave of absence without returning to school, they can apply for a leave of absence within the period set by the school.
Military enlister’s grade
Only students who have taken the midterm exam, have an attendance rate of 3/4 or more, and are enlisting in the military during the period up to the last day of the final exam can submit their grades for evaluation.
Procedure to apply and postpone Leave of Absence
General leave of absence
Students must apply for a leave of absence within the period set by the school before the start of the semester. However, those who have completed enrollment and want to take a leave of absence are, in principle, permitted to take a leave of absence from the start date of the semester till the midterm exam.

For the military leave, it must be approved by submitting a notice of enlistment within 2 to 3 days after applying online (fax possible - global (031-750-5131) or medical (032-820-4059). Otherwise, leave of absence is not recognized.
If the address and contact information has been changed, please edit it on the school website → Academic Administration → school register Management → Edit on the Student Information screen.
