Department of paramedicine
The Department of paramedicine was established in 1995 and played a leading role in nurturing first-class paramedics for 4 years. The vision of this department is to nurture talented people who aim for the best and protect the health and life of emergency patients by educating them with scientific medical knowledge and practical skills related to emergency treatment. To this end, students are conducting clinical practice at Gachon University’s Gil Hospital and regional emergency medical centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province and are practicing firefighting and paramedics at Incheon Fire Headquarters. In addition, this department educates basic medicine and specialized emergency medical-related theories and educates students so that they do not lack character and work as global emergency responders through the TOEIC graduation certification system and career and employment seminars. In particular, through the graduate school, emergency rescue master's program opened in 2012, students are putting more effort into scientific research in emergency rescue and passing the national exam 100% every year.
