The Department of Energy IT educates new knowledge in innovative and new academic fields through the opening and convergence of energy technology, ICT (information and communication technology), and management and economic technology to effectively solve the energy and resource problems facing mankind in the 21st century .
The Department of Energy IT and Gachon Bell Research Institute are already operating a specific architecture program to propose solutions to energy and water issues, as well as human sustainability issues. This department discloses the teacher's lecture contents, operates the curriculum according to the needs of industry and national society, and does its best to produce talented people who contribute to society, the country, and humanity through University 2.0 so that students can actively participate in the learning process.

Students complete the four-year undergraduate course of energy-ICT-convergence of the basic common and intensive major curriculum. After graduation, they can advance into the traditional energy industry, ICT industry, and convergence industry.

- Graduates who have advanced into the traditional energy and ICT fields also possess convergence competence, so they can work actively in the convergence field in their respective fields (eg; KEPCO/KT Smart Grid Division, POSCO Power Smart Water Division).
