Department of Urban Planning, established in 1983, has always been at the forefront of university development as the department with the longest history at the College of Engineering at Gachon University. In 2008, this department received special support by being selected as the National Top 3 (N3) program in the school to foster the nation's top three departments, and it produces a number of winners in various contests every year. Many graduates are active in various fields, including urban planning, and form good relationships with current students. Detailed fields of the Department of Urban Planning include urban planning, urban design, transportation, housing, and real estate development, and graduate schools for master's and doctoral programs are also opened.
