유사한 성질의 물질을 보다 정확하게 정량적, 정성적으로 분석하는 장비이다. 메탄올, 에탄올, 아세톤 등을 베이스로 한 화합물을 성분 분석하여 물질을 파악할 수 있다. 탄화수소 가공, 식품 안전, 살충제 결정, 화학 분석, 바이오 디젤, 약물 스크리닝, 독성학, 환경 등 다양한 연구 실험에 사용된다.
